Welcome to Play in early childhood education, a very serious course in which you will learn about the importance of play in all areas of child development and how to use it as a fundamental methodological axis in children’s education. In addition, you will acquire and share knowledge about the play model, children’s games and the educational value of the toy. You will discover how play influences children’s development and you will come to the conclusion that it is indeed something very serious

To contextualize the play model in the educational intervention, valuing it according to the different theories about play, for its importance in child development and its role as a fundamental methodological axis and to select adequately toys for play activities, relating their characteristics with the stage of child development
