Welcome to the course Play in Early Childhood Education: Selection, Development and Evaluation with which you will understand why the game is so important during the early childhood stage, learn its classification and typology and know the objectives to be achieved by putting it into practice. We will work together to select the children’s games in the most effective way, to know what our role is during their development and to correctly apply their evaluation tools

Objectives
General
Select and implement play activities relating them to the established objectives and the necessary resources, and evaluate play activities justifying the selected evaluation techniques and instruments

- Understand the importance of play as a didactic model
- Know the types of games and their purpose
- Select the most appropriate type of game according to the established objectives and needs of the context
- Learn what the adult’s role is during children’s play
- Evaluate play activities through observation techniques
