Welcome to a selection of the course Tourist information, services and office management with which you will learn the typology of tourist information offices and the basic functions that are developed in them

With the complete course you will acquire and share general knowledge about the tourist sector and you will deepen in professional and specific subjects of a management team of tourist offices in traditional tourist areas, other destinations of cultural and/or patrimonial tourist interest and tourist information offices both national and international
Professional Competences
The completion of this course will help you to achieve the following professional competencies:
- Advise and inform tourists at information points as well as at travel or destination, taking into account basic protocol standards, using the most appropriate technical means depending on the customer, and thus achieve a satisfactory service and visitor loyalty
- To guide and assist travellers in trips, transfers or visits, using communication strategies, achieving their satisfaction
- To inform and guide tourists and travellers, encouraging respect for the richness of cultural and natural heritage
- Coordinate the operations of the different types of events, providing assistance to customers in cases that require it
Objectives
General
To provide the student with the necessary tools to know how a tourist information office works and the structure of the different communication channels used in the dissemination of tourist information
Specific
- To study the potential of the different territorial areas and of the tourist market of the area
- Detect existing institutional support
- Analyze the necessary information in order to promote the destination
- Design and modify territorial-based tourism products to meet the expectations of tourism demand and make the most of the resources and services offered by the environment
- Propose promotion and marketing actions for tourist destinations with a view to launching consolidation, setting the appropriate prices
- To value the real interests of the different groups of the population
