Welcome to a selection of the contents of the Prevention of risks at work course. Basic level, with which you will discover the risk factors for the health derived from the work and you will know the rights and obligations of the workers in the matter of labor security

With the complete course you will be able to prepare yourself to develop the professional competences necessary to carry out the preventive functions of basic level. You will acquire knowledge related to the promotion of safe behaviours, the correct use of work equipment, the promotion of interest in preventive actions, the elementary evaluation of risks and cooperation with prevention services, all in accordance with the legislation regulating risk prevention
Professional Competences
The completion of this course will help you to achieve the following professional competencies:
- Evaluate the risks derived from the work activity, analysing the working conditions and the risk factors present in the work environment
- Participate in the elaboration of a risk prevention plan in a small company, identifying the responsibilities of all the agents involved
- Apply prevention and protection measures, analysing risk situations in the working environment
- Possess and understand knowledge that provides a foundation in a research context
- Apply your acquired knowledge and your problem-solving skills
- Integrate knowledge and deal with the complexity of making judgments from information that, while incomplete or limited, is linked to the application of their knowledge
- Identify the main physical and mental workload problems and carry out a correct redesign of the workstations
- Develop the skills necessary to analyze and develop an appropriate shift schedule for the organization
- Know the specific problems of sensitive workers: older workers, people with disabilities or pregnant women
Objectives
General
Acquire a global vision of ORP and its application in the company, make students aware of the importance of health and safety at work and strengthen the knowledge, skills and aptitudes necessary to perform the functions specifically dictated by Royal Decree 39/1997
Specific
- Know the regulations and management of PRL
- Identify and analyze the general and specific risks of your activity
- Conduct risk assessments
- Propose measures to control and reduce risks
- To plan the preventive action to be developed in situations in which the control or reduction of risks implies the performance of different activities
- Monitoring compliance with the risk control and reduction programme
- To know the main official organisms in the matter of PRL
